10 Korean Dramas To Binge Watch This Summer


Annyeonghaseyo!! Hey Koreandramaluvhers!! Hope you are having an amazing KDRAMA Day. 💛

Summer is all about the Beaches, the Great Books, the Pretty Dresses, the Embellished Sandals, and ...you guessed it...Korean Dramas!!! What's better than watching KDRAMAS uninterrupted, without worrying about papers and/or finals?? I just do not know! 

So below is a list that I compiled of KDRAMAS that you should definitely BINGE WATCH this Summer. Keep in mind that these dramas are old dramas, hence you will be able to BINGE WATCH them. Obviously, you can not binge watch an ongoing or new drama. Enjoy the list. Leave a Comment in the Comment Box of how many dramas on the list that you have already watched.  💛💛💛

Title: The Legend of the Blue Sea

Plot:
This is a love story that travels across time! A mermaid falls in love with a con-man and travels across the ocean to find him. 

This is a great watch as it is summer and there is something about the use of bright colors in this drama that reminds me of SUMMER TIME.

Title: Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo

Plot:
After a total eclipse takes place in the 21st century, a woman, travels back in time in the Goryeo where she is mistaken for Hae Soo. She falls in love twice, the first with a married man and the second with another who has a huge scar on his face who people fear. 

I have to admit that I binge-watched this drama. I think if I remember clearly, I completed it in one week. It is worth the watch, especially if you are a KPOP fan. you will find some of your favorite KPOP artist in this drama. 




Title: Romantic Doctor Teacher Kim

Plot:
Bong Yong Joo, played by Han Suk Kyu is a famous surgeon with the nickname "Hand of God." He disappears from the limelight and no one seems to know why. No one has heard from him either. He resurfaces as Teacher Kim, who is a master surgeon at an old "rinky dink" hospital. He prefers solitude. 
He trains Kang Dong Joo and Yoon Seo Jung who eventually falls in love. 
This is such an amazing drama with an amazing cast. Definitely "Squad Goals" all over this drama. The loyalty that they all show for one another is quite impressive. This drama is a definite must watch.
PS. If you are looking for breathtaking kiss scenes, this drama is for you.

Title: Tomorrow With You

Plot:
The story revolves around a time traveler named Yoo So Joon played by the charismatic (Lee Je Hoon), a CEO of a real estate company, who is able to time travel. He travels through time by using the subway. His wife, Song Marin played by (Shin Min Ah), works as a struggling photographer. 

So Joon sees that his future will be a miserable one, so he decides to marry Ma Rin so that they both can avoid a terrible fate. As time goes by, he falls madly in love with her.

Tomorrow With You is a definite must watch Korean Drama. I loved every moment of it. It is not like "The Time Traveler's Wife" which happens to be one of my favorite movies. It is different and it is quite unique. The chemistry between the two leads is explosive. A definite must watch!!!

Plot:
Princess Hours is about a Royal family whose reigning King fall ill. The family has to hurry to prepare a marriage for the Crowned Prince to take over. The Crowned Prince ends up marrying a girl from a poor family in major debt due to a promise that his grandfather made when he was a child. He finds her annoying at first and then eventually falls in love. 
The cast is an all-star cast, and you may recognize some of the teenagers in the drama in many popular dramas. I HAVE TO ADMIT!! This is my favorite drama due to it being the first Korean Drama that I have ever watched.

Plot:
Eun Ha Won (Park So Dam) is a high school student who dreams to one day attend the university of her dream. Her home life is a difficult one, because she lives with her father, evil stepmother and evil stepsister. Her father is a truck driver and works away from home, so he never witnesses firsthand the way his wife and stepdaughter treats Eun Ha Won. She never receives love or financial assistance from her stepmother. Therefore she is forced to work several part time jobs, not only to support herself, but to fulfill the promise that she made to her deceased mother.
One day, she meets the chairman of Kang Group who offers to change her life. He makes an offer that is hard for her to refuse; to live in the luxurious Sky House with his grandchildren and accomplish the mission of reconciling them, as they have no relationship with one another. In exchange, he will pay her college tuition and make her set for life.
The only condition is that she can not date any of the Kang Cousins. Dating is ABSOLUTELY PROHIBITED.

This drama is so cute and the chemistry between the two leads is so romantic!! I was sad to see it end.

Plot:
Yoo Hye Jung, played by (Park Shin Hye) has had an extremely difficult childhood and life. She was not raised with love and affection from her family. In fact, her mother died and her father abandoned her for a new wife. She ends up living with her grandmother who shows her all of the love in the world.
While living with her grandmother, she meets the handsome Hong Ji Hong, played (Kim Rae Won) who recognizes her intelligence and talent and sets her on the path to a brighter future. They end up falling in love and he helps break down her defenses.

Doctors is such a great drama and is worth the watch!!



Title: Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo

Release Date: 11/16/16-1/11/17

Plot:
Kim Bok Joo, played by (Lee Sung Kyung) is a female weightlifter at her university. Her family is comprised of her father, who owns and runs a chicken restaurant, and her uncle who dreams of becoming an actor. She is bubbly and has a strong sense of loyalty. However, she has never had a boyfriend.

Jung Joon Hyung, played by (Nam Joo Hyuk) is a swimmer at the same university. However, he has had many disqualifications due to false starts. He was raised by his aunt and uncle and has a cousin, Jung Jae Yi, played by (Lee Jae Yoon) who acts more like his older brother.

Kim Bok Joo develops a crush on Jung Jae Yi who is much older than her. Through this process of first love, she finds herself heartbroken and is comforted by Jung Joon Hyung.

I have to admit that I did not want to watch this drama at first. However, many of my sunbaes in the Korean Drama circle were all reviewing and posting about WLFKBJ and I had to see what all the fuss was about! This drama is worth it!!

In fact, Lee Sung Kyung and Nam Joo Hyuk developed feelings for each other while filming this drama!

Plot:
This drama is about two people who fall in love quickly despite their differences. Shi Jin played by (Song Joong Ki) meets Doctor Mo Yeon played by (Song Hye Kyo) by chance. She mistakes him for a theif and a thug and he must prove to her that he is a solider. He falls in love with her at first sight and they begin to date. However, their differences are too big, due to Yeon believing that live should be preserved and Shi Jin having to take a life if he must.  The two eventually work it out. This is a a love story that transcends space and time.

This drama is a MUST WATCH!!!! If you are a fan of Song Joong Ki and/or Song Hye Kyo then this drama is for you. In fact, the two met and fell in love while filming this drama! They are engaged to be married on 10/31/17. If you did not have a reason to watch this drama before, now  you certainly have one.

Plot:
Cha Jin-Wook who is played by the OH SO MANLY (Sung Hoon) is a son from a VERY wealthy family.

His father is a business owner and considers himself a to be a conglomerate. He runs an extremely large and lucrative company. Cha Jin-Wook is a bit of a playboy and does not pursue long term relationships. He is also immature and spends more time having fun then working.

When he meets Lee Yoo-Mi, played by the very cute (Song Ji-Eun) everything changes. They end up having a one night stand and everything CHANGES!

Although this is a cutesy ROMCOM Drama, it has very mature content. I have watched many dramas in my time, but I have never seen a drama really take it there the way "My Secret Romance" does! Due to that, it has really sparked fans across the nation curiosity.

Plot:

Fight For My Way is a refreshing drama about four friends who are each trying to live out their dreams.
Ko Dong Man played by (Park Seo Joon) was a talented taekwondo athlete however, he gives that up due to circumstances. He works as a contract employee to make ends meet. His childhood friend, Choi Ae Ra, played by (Kim Ji Won) hopes to become a famous television anchor, however she works at a department store's information desk.

Their best friends, Kim Joo Man  played by (Ahn Jae Hong) and  Baek Seol Hee played by (Song Ha Yoon) have been dating for six years and are beginning to have some serious issues that are preventing them from getting married.

I included this drama in this list because last week aired the final episode, so you can binge watch all you like! This drama is so fun, cool and real. It reminds me that the the struggle is real and it is not always easy to achieve your dreams. But with hard work and dedication, you can accomplish whatever you set your mind on.
