Mad Dog is a thriller drama that uncovers and depicts the harsh realities of insurance fraud and the crimes that people commit to receive big payouts. 'Mad Dog' is a private investigation team that reveals insurance fraud cases.

Choi Kang Woo, played by (Yoo Ji Tae) is the head and founder of this investigative team. He was a former detective and lost his wife and son in an airplane crash. This accident continues to haunt him 2 years later.

His team includes, Jang Ha Ri (Ryu Hwa Young) , aka Player Jang goes undercover to receive information to report to Kang Woo. She also has acrobatic skills and is very agile. She uses her femininity to her advantage.

Another member of his team is Park Soon Jung (Jo Jae Yoon) also known as 'Cheetah'. He is an ex-con who is also good with computers and standing up for justice. When he goes undercover, he flirts his way into getting information to report to Kang Woo. He is a fighter and does not back down from a fight.

On Noo Ri (Kim Hye Seong) is a computer tech who knows all things computers inside out. He

provides the team with tech information and does all of the hacking into other systems. He is a valuable asset to the team.

Kim Min Joon (Woo Do Hwan), is somewhat of a mystery. He is a modern day Robin Hood, who takes from the rich and gives to the poor. He is also a scam artist that seems to have a past that may be connected with the leader of Mad Dog. He also seems to be one step ahead of all the members of Mad Dog including Kang Woo.

I rated the first episode of this drama with a perfect score.

Mad Dog is a well paced drama with interesting characters full of energy. I love the dynamic between Kang Woo and his incredible team of crime fighters: from Sassy Player Jang, to the Crime Fighter himself Cheetah, to the Hacker Extraordinaire.

Kang Woo seems to be haunted by the death of his wife and son from an airplane crash 2 years ago.

In the first episode we do not know the details of this crash, however it seems to motivate Kang Woo to work hard in his business. He seems confident with his team and allows them to be who they are without judgement and vice versa.

Player Jang is also an interesting character and I noticed a spark between her and Kim Min Joon. At least I hope so.

What I liked the most about this episode is the surprise ending with Kim Min Joon. I knew something was up with him, but I did not know he was a scam artist. He made a bet with Kang Woo and won, asking for "Mad Dog" as a collateral.

I really can not wait to see how the characters and plot develop. It seems as if there is a connection between Kang Woo and Min Joon. We will just have to wait and see.

I would absolutely recommend you all to watch the first Episode of this drama! I am over the long dramas, or the dramas divided into two episodes. Mad Dog is an ole school drama with 16 one hour and so episodes. So refreshing!!!
